Der Golem Gets Scored

A regular fixture at the festival, this year 3epkano teamed up with singer Iarla Ó Lionáird for a live score to Paul Wegener's 1920 horror movie Der Golem. Over the years at the festival, there have been many amazing live scores from 3epkano such as Metropolis and last years performance of The Cabinet of Dr Caligari. Last night's event was no different. It looked spectacular with the backdrop of St. Canice's Cathedral, the perfect location for evoking the mood of this chilling classic. At this stage, 3epkano look like they're in danger of running out of classic films to score but no fear, they'll no doubt return next year with something else that will blow our socks off.
