Marketing & Development Intern 2012
To market the festival and to achieve improved donor income generation, the Festival wishes to expand its marketing and development capacity via the recruitment of a Marketing and Development Intern. The Intern will support the work of Kilkenny Arts Festival for a nine month period through the JobBridge scheme and under the guidance the Development and Marketing Managers.
Purpose of the Role
The Marketing and Development Intern will, under the supervision of the Managers enhance the efforts and performance of the Festival’s existing development, fund-raising and marketing effort. The intern will, among other things, manage the supporter database, act as the key liaison/contact person for all current and prospective supporters, support the Development Department’s strategies and action plans, undertake background research, and assist with the development of the new and existing fundraising programmes and assist with all aspects of festival marketing; brochure / poster production, web marketing, social media etc.
Applicants are required to have the following profile:
- Graduate in business or a related discipline
- High motivational level
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Analytical skills
- Strong commitment to teamwork
- Native or fluent English speaker
- Excellent communication skills
- Commitment to the not-for-profit sector
