Meet The Festival Team

With just two sleeps to go we thought we'd introduce you to some of the team behind this year's festival, those who magic the magic happen and keep this wonderful ship of ours afloat.

Up first (and pictured above) we've got our box office team. The festival box office this year is located in the heart of John Street, within stone-throwing distance of the Kilkenny Arts Office and Set Theatre, two venues on this year's programme. There you'll get your hands on tickets to all events along with up-to-the-minute information on what's hot, what's sold out, any changes or additions to the programme. Pop your head in there and you'll meet (left to right) Kate Walsh, Gareth Brennan, Cathy Hogan (box office manager), Celine Reilly and Claire McGrath.

Over in our main office (where the real year-round magic happens) you'll find the majority of (back row) Ide Deloughry, Marian Flannery, Tracy Ryan, Alistair Daniel, (middle) Celine Reilly, Valerie Ryan, Rose Mulvey, (front) Evelyn McNamarara (left) and CEO Rosemary Collier (right).

We've started putting together a gallery of behind-the-scenes images from the festival over on Facebook. We passed 5,000 fans of the page online this morning so make sure to keep an eye there too for updates from the team above and our festival coverage team over the next 10-12 days - it's about to get real busy!

Of course, we couldn't introduce you to the team without grabbing a sneaky shot of some of our production crew in action - they're the ones who make the venues what they are, working through the night to install exhibitions, make floors, hang doors, build walls and everything else that goes into making a performance or exhibition space.
