It was supposed to be a one-off. Last year, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre came to Ireland for the very first time, bringing its uproarious production of As You Like It to Kilkenny. But after playing to packed audiences in the Castle Yard for nine glorious – and occasionally less glorious – summer nights, the response was so overwhelming that we had to have them back.
