World-renowned organist Malcolm Proud has been performing at the Festival ever since it began. For this morning recital, he’s joined by cornetto player Darren Cornish-Moore to perform a wonderful programme of renaissance music from composers all over Europe, including John Dowland and William Byrd.
Cornish-Moore is a multi-instrumentalist who performs on modern trumpet, baroque trumpet and cornetto with some of the world’s finest ensembles. He first collaborated with Malcolm Proud when artist in residence at the LexIcon Theatre in Dun Laoghaire in 2021 and since then they have often worked together, both in tandem and with the Irish Baroque Orchestra.
