Every August Kilkenny plays host to Ireland’s longest-running arts festival, and it couldn’t happen without the efforts of our wonderful volunteers. Volunteering is a great way to experience the Festival and offers a unique opportunity to be part of this diverse, exciting and inspiring annual event.
Many of our volunteers are Festival legends, donating their time, energy and enthusiasm year after year. Others have found that working with us has enabled them to build valuable skills and experience, and inspired them to pursue careers or further study in the arts. All of them are valued members of the Festival family.
Volunteers are needed in several areas including stewarding, marketing, administration and driving. If you share our passion for the arts and would like to volunteer, please sign up below. We look forward to welcoming you to our team!
For junior volunteers, volunteering with the festival is a great opportunity for you to take ownership of your own schedule and develop real independence in managing your time and commitments.
If you need to translate this or need any help filling out this form, please email volunteers@kilkennyarts.ie.
Forms can be returned to volunteers@kilkennyarts.ie, or by post to Kilkenny Arts Festival, 11 Patrick’s Court, Patrick Street, Kilkenny.
All successful applicants must attend an orientation meeting. Details of time and location will be confirmed by the Volunteer Coordinator (who joins us in July). Schedules, laminates and volunteer t-shirts will be issued on the day and only to the volunteer in person.
Applications received after 1st August will be processed as capacity allows - thank you for your patience!
