The Book Centre

Welcome one and all to The Book Centre Kilkenny - a one-stop book shop for books, book accessories, gifts, stationery, greeting cards and more. The Kilkenny bookstore is located on the high street of Kilkenny City. The building itself has quite a historic significance as it was originally a terraced, three-bay, three-storey house built back in 1790 and possibly including design elements of the house from even further back in 1550. The building was then renovated in 1900 with a storefront inserted on the ground floor. This particular building has been listed in the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage and was chosen by The Irish Times as one of the Top 100 Best Shops in Ireland in 2016.
