At the Wine Buff Kilkenny, on Partick Street, you will get a unique experience! We are part of the incredible Irish Wine Buff Group of stores, 13 in Ireland. Our Flagship store in St Emilion, Bordeaux, ran by the group founder Paddy O’Flynn is in the epicentre of the world of wine.
Our exclusive range of wines are handpicked and imported directly from our small producers from many corners of the world, but mostly France, Spain and Italy and we pride ourselves in selling “Extraordinary wines at Ordinary prices”.
Everyone that steps into the store, we believe, is not just a customer but should feel like a friend, on a journey with us to their next great bottle of wine. Our mission is to help wine drinkers discover the wines they enjoy, to promote wine that is made in a sustainable manner, well-balanced and have a sense of place. All built around wine knowledge, food pairings and customer services excellence, showing the public, that great wine does not need to be expensive and complicated but easy, affordable, friendly and exciting! We were named the Off Licence of the Year for Customer in the Customer Excellence Awards 2025.
We have wine sample on taste every Friday and Saturday and hold Wine tasting events instore and onsite, for hen parties, events like book clubs & fundraisers and most importantly our fun, social tasting event with a focus on wine education in a relaxed environment.
