John Scott's 'The Migration Sonata' Workshop

Acclaimed dancer and choreographer Scott aims to work with people currently living in Kilkenny who identify as being migrants. Working with these communities, the project will see participants being brought together a number of times over Winter 2022 into Spring/Summer 2023, working with movement, voice and paper, allowing for a layering of reflections on themselves and their experiences.

Kilkenny Arts Festival is holding the first of these workshops on Tuesday 22nd November at 7pm in John of God Primary School on Upper New Street. This short workshop (2 hours max) will involve some singing and movement, but absolutely no experience is necessary. While these workshops will aim to culminate in a performance at Kilkenny Arts Festival 2023, participants of the workshops do not have to be involved in the final performance.

If you are interested and wish to register for the workshop, or find out more, please email us on info@kilkennyarts.ie (please include Migration Sonata in the subject title).
