The Medieval Room situated at the base of the Parade Tower and opening into the Courtyard reflects 800 years of history at Kilkenny Castle. With its arrow loops and central oak column supporting a 15th century post and beam ceiling, it is undeniably a very atmospheric space.

There is no parking available at this venue. Please use nearby Ormonde St and Market Yard car parks.

First, you will see this door. There will be a table with volunteers sitting in front of it who will check your tickets if you have them already, or give you your tickets if you don’t have them yet.

Then, you will go through the door and see this room. You can go down the stairs to your right, or use the lift on your left. Then, you get to choose your seat!
This show will have a man shouting loudly and wearing a mask, so it might be a little scary, but he’s just playing pretend. You can wear ear defenders so the shouting won’t bother you.
