For three decades singer and composer Méav Ní Mhaolchatha has been at the forefront of Irish music, gracing stages and concert halls worldwide with her unique voice. A founder member of Celtic Woman, she has released a string of solo albums working with the likes of Craig Leon, producer of Blondie and The Ramones.
Ní Mhaolchatha’s new album Sweet Sorrow is a deeply personal exploration of grief and consolation, written with award-winning Irish film composer Stephen Rennicks and produced by Thomas Bartlett aka Doveman (The Gloaming). For her highly anticipated Kilkenny debut Ní Mhaolchatha is joined by a stellar band including Vincent Lynch (keys), Deirdre Moynihan (fiddle) and Ailbhe McDonagh (cello).
