The National Craft Gallery is the Crafts Council of Ireland’s flagship exhibition space, which is housed in the beautifully restored 18th Century stables of Kilkenny Castle. It exhibits a programme of groundbreaking national and international contemporary craft and develops exhibitions that tour museums and galleries worldwide

We have created a social story for our audience members with autism to prepare for their visit. A document with the social stories for all of our venues is available on our accessibility page, as well as many other resources.
First, you will see this building across from the castle on The Parade.
Then, you will go through this archway and into a courtyard. If you need to use the bathroom or get a snack, you can go through the doors on the inside of this arch and the staff can help you find what you need.
Then, you will go across the courtyard and see this arch with blue signs.
Inside the archway you will turn left and see these doors. Inside will be staff who can tell you about the art!
